Our Team

Doctor Irvine

Dr. Andrew Irvine earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. While attending OCPM, Dr. Irvine received multiple scholarships, was appointed to the Dean's list twice and as a senior, was presented with the Kaufman Memorial Award for Orthopedic & Biomechanical proficiency.

During Dr. Irvine's residency training he performed nearly a thousand surgical foot and ankle procedures ranging from simple ingrown toenail avulsions to advanced reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. Doctor Irvine and his family pursue their favourite sports such as downhill skiing, mountain biking, camping, fly-fishing, golf, and of course hockey! Dr. Irvine holds memberships with several associations such as the Alberta Podiatry Association,  Canadian Podiatric Medical Association, and many more.

Deceri

Deceri began working with us in 2021 part-time while she was a student of web design. Deceri has since taken over many of our front and back operations, demonstrating extreme professionalism and organization. She continues to find ways to improve our day-to-day operations, always with a smile on her face.

During Deceri’s free time, you will find her at church with her many friends and family. She is a foodie and loves to talk about food, from Calgary restaurants to places around the world. Japan has been her latest culinary adventure, and we are glad she came home. "There is no sushi on earth like Japan’s sushi."

Joy

Joy is a medical assistant with a background in Pharmacology from the Philippines. She joined our team as a virtual assistant in May of 2022. Joy is Dr. Irvine’s favourite virtual assistant. We think it’s because she laughs at his jokes, even when they’re only mildly funny. Joy’s skill in patient charting and ability to problem-solve have been cherished assets to our team.

Her bubbly texts every morning remind us all to have a great day. During Joy’s free time, you’ll find her on the ocean fishing where tuna and barracuda are not an unusual catch. She also loves to travel, eat yummy food, and spend time with family and friends.

Emma

Emma is a student studying to become a doctor. We are all too familiar with the dedication that it takes. We are honored to have her work with our Axis Foot & Ankle Clinic Team. Emma started in May 2023. She has brought with her speed and efficiency. She is the fastest typist in the west! We had one of the best interviews with Emma.

Her diplomacy and good nature are what stand out. During Emma’s spare time, she spends time with friends and family and can be talked into doing anything adventurous. She loves coffee, and between her, Deceri, and Joy, they do a great job looking after our patients and our doctor.

Lisa

Lisa joined Axis Foot & Ankle Clinic in 2009 as COO. Lisa’s ongoing commitment to excellence and a healthy lifestyle is reflected in all that she does. Her responsibilities include managing our day-to-day business, marketing, and finances, and, of course, connecting with patients and staff to ensure that the Axis Foot & Ankle Clinic experience is always exceptional.

When Lisa is not at the clinic, she delights in quality time with family and friends, both in Alberta and in her hometown in Ontario. Her passion for the mountains and the scenic beauty of Georgian Bay keeps her actively engaged, living the dream.
